NATURAL BUILDING
MY APPROACH
I have developed a systematic approach in my work to ensure efficiency from start to finish. I continuously look for ways to improve building processes to reduce labour costs and make natural building affordable for everyone. By proper preparation and organization I create an efficient workflow in my projects and avoid time consuming errors.
Throughout my life people have credited me for having a sharp eye. It comes to good use for anticipating on possible problems but also for executing finish work. While I am detail-oriented I always manage to keep an overview of a project and know what to prioritize. It's more about knowing when to switch from making fast progress and when a more meticulous attitude is required. I flow quite easily between those states.

I heavily rely on my resourcefulness and creativity to come up with innovative methods and solutions to problems. I hardly find anything more satisfying then repurposing discarded material to solve a particular issue.
Coordination and communication come natural to me and are essential for project management and teamwork. I find it important to have open communication with both team members, clients and contractors.
Furthermore I am very curious and enjoy experimenting and learning more on ecological building. While hands-on learning is essential to gain craftsmanship, I also seek to develop a comprehensive understanding of how different building components and materials function to make well-founded decisions.

Maintaining a safe and healthy construction environment is important for me. I am pro-active when it comes to reducing the likelihood of injuries on the job site. I will also take an active stance against any form of discrimination. I love to see more diverse teams and had the pleasure to work with women, trans, genderqueer, and people from diverse ethnicities on construction sites and will do my best to make a job site inclusive, safe and supportive.
